Terms and Conditions
These terms apply when you use the What the Hex Design Studio, LLC website or book any of our services, and a signed project contract takes priority if the two ever differ. Last updated: October 15, 2026.
Booking and agreements
A project is booked once you have signed the proposal and contract sent through HoneyBook and your first payment or deposit has been received. Until then, dates and pricing are not held.
Payments
- Packages can be paid in full or through a payment plan. Payment plans automatically draft from the payment method you provide on the dates in your contract.
- Your payment schedule is set when you sign and is not tied to project milestones. A project may finish before your final payment is drafted, or it may continue past your final payment if delays occur.
- If a payment fails, we may pause work until it is resolved. A late fee may be added after the invoice is over 30 days late.
- The Brand & Website Audit fee is credited toward the price of your final package. This credit expires if not used within 1-month.
- Refunds are not available due to customer cancellation for any reason.
Timelines
The ideal timeline for a Brand & Web Design package is 4 to 6 weeks. For Website in a Week, your build week begins only once all prep work has been turned in. Every timeline depends on your feedback, content, and approvals arriving on time, and delays on your side extend the schedule.
A collaborative process
Great brands are built together, so you agree to be present and engaged throughout your project. That means responding to check-ins, providing your materials on time, and giving feedback in your own words. Feedback and approvals must come from you, not from AI-generated responses, because your perspective is what makes the brand yours.
Design process and revisions
Logo work follows our one-logo-concept method: we develop a single concept built from your strategy and refine it with your feedback rather than presenting a set of options. Your package includes [number] rounds of revisions. Additional rounds or changes beyond the agreed scope are quoted separately.
On-Demand Designer
The On-Demand Designer is a monthly package with a set block of design hours, not daily or on-call availability. Requests are completed within your monthly hours and in the order we agree on. The package has a minimum commitment of 3 months. Unused hours do not roll over from month-to-month.
Typography and licensing
We select typefaces for your brand according to their license terms. [Explain which fonts are free for commercial use, which require a license, and who purchases licenses.] You are responsible for maintaining any licenses needed to keep using fonts beyond what is included in your package.
Ownership and usage rights
- Once your project is paid in full, you own the final, approved deliverables listed in your contract and What the Hex Design Studio has the right to share the work on their website, social media, and other marketing platforms both in print and web use.
- We keep ownership of working files, unused concepts, and our own tools, templates, and processes.
- Third-party assets, such as stock photos, fonts, and plugins, remain subject to their own licenses.
- Unless you tell us otherwise in writing, we may show the finished work in our portfolio and marketing.
- You confirm you have the right to use all materials you give us.

Our use of AI is described in our AI Policy, which is part of these terms.

We design with strategy and care, but we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, such as search rankings, traffic, sales, or leads. Results depend on many factors outside our control, including your market, budget, and follow-through.
